Second Ward Chillicothe City Councilman David Clay is resigning, effective September 10th.
Clay had no intention of seeking re-election, but has decided to step-down before his term expires due to accepting a position with the federal government, that he says would be a "conflict of interest".
The Ross County Republican Party Central Committee will need to select a successor.
