The Pump House Center for the Arts is hosting the Chillicothe Art League’s 19th Annual Spring Open Exhibition. The Exhibition is open to artists living within a 75 mile radius of Chillicothe. The Opening Reception will be on Thursday, March 30th from 7 – 9 pm. Awards will be presented at 8 pm.
This year’s juror is Jim Glover of Columbus, Ohio. Glover began his career with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources as an intern illustrator where he designed maps, displays, brochures, and posters. Thirty-three years later, Glover left to pursue his second career as a painter of landscapes, buildings, and people with a preference for anything outdoors. He currently teaches painting classes at various art centers in the Worthington area.
In addition to the traditional awards, The Patricia Best Eley Award for the most creative entry will be given in her memory by the Eley family. Patricia was an accomplished painter and a longtime supporter of the Chillicothe Art League.
The Annual Spring Open Exhibition will be on display at the Pump House from March 30th to April 30th.
