The Chillicothe Ross County Development Partners selected Brad Morton as economic development director.
"I'm really excited about what he brings to the table: a lot of energy, good experience - both in marketing and working with governments," said Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney.
Morton began work within the job on Monday.
"His focus is going to be not only on bringing those big employers to the community and supplementing the work that big employers do," said Mayor Feeney, "but also focusing on what it takes for a small business to get up and going."
Feeney said Morton will work with parting economic development director Chris Manegold, who was the founder of the Economic Development Alliance of Southern Ohio. The Chillicothe Ross County Development Partners is a partnership of the Economic Development Alliance of Southern Ohio and the Ross County Community Improvement Corporation.
