A mosquito pool in Pickaway County has tested positive for West Nile Virus. Officials with the Pickaway County General Health District say the first report of a positive pool was found near the Deer Creek State Park boat ramp in Perry Township, Monday. According to a report, there were 18 mosquitoes in the positive pool of the 108 that had been trapped.
The Pickaway County General Health District has more than 20 trap locations set as department officials conduct mosquito surveillance through an Ohio EPA grant.
