Three Injured in Jackson County Crash

Troopers from the Jackson Post of the Highway Patrol found Camba Road about one mile west of State Route 93, south of Jackson, to be blocked by two vehicles with three people injured, about 3pm Saturday.

According to the patrol, 58-year-old Steve Evans of Oak Hill was pulling a hay trailer eastbound with a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck.  His father, 81-year-old Ron Evans also of Oak Hill, was a passenger.

31-year-old Ashley Turner of Oak Hill was westbound on Camba Road in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala.  She was reaching for a dropped water bottle when she failed to negotiate a curve, driving left of center and striking Evans' vehicle head-on.

Turner and Ron Evans sustained incapacitating injuries, and Steve Evans had some minor visible injuries.  All parties were taken to Holzer Medical Center by Jackson County EMS.

Turner was later transferred to Grant Hospital in Columbus. She was listed as stable and was charged with driving left of center.

Camba Road remained closed for about an hour.  Safety belts were in use by everyone.
