Rampage, Burglars in Friday's Ross Grand Jury

The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 17 of their first cases of the year Friday, with five open.

In one, a central Ohio man was indicted for a drug-induced rampage of the Transit Facility from September.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, employees of the Chillicothe Transit Facility arrived at work September 12th and found blood on the front door, and broken glass and furnishings scattered inside and out.

Soon after police arrived, 26-year-old Shadoe B. Royster of Reynoldsburg was found lying on the ground around a corner outside, shaking and incoherent.

Royster said he was trying to escape from five men who were chasing him, but could give no details.  Video footage showed his rampage.  He had to spend two days in the hospital to be treated for meth.

For indictments for breaking & entering, and vandalism, Royster could get up to a year and $2,500 in fines...for inflicting almost $3,800 in damage to the Transit Facility.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, HVAC workers were inside "The Madison" under renovation at 105 South Paint Street, when a couple came inside saying they were there to work.

Later, a woman witnessed them running from it and called police as she cornered them.

30-year-old Aaron M. Lee and 22-year-old Shelby Miller, both of 259 Mechanic Street, had grabbed a laptop computer, food, and other items before leaving the building.  Miller confessed where they tossed them when being chased.
