The Southeastern Panthers remain unbeaten as they rally for a 28-21 win over Unioto, in SE's final home game of the season. Southeastern trailed the entire game, until scoring the final margin of victory with 5:56 to play in the contest.

The win also sets-up a championship scenario at Paint Valley next Friday in a battle of two SVC co-leaders, with the winner gaining at least a share of the SVC crown. Paint Valley beat Zane Trace 34-0, Friday.

Unioto got on the board first at 6:34 of the first quarter, taking the opening drive 48 yards in 8 plays, where Jamarcus Carroll scored on a three yard run, followed by Gage Stout's PAT kick for a 7-0 lead.

The Panthers got in the scoring column at 7:57 of the second quarter, marching 76 yards in 8 plays, scoring on an 8 yard TD pass from Lane Ruby to Jarrett McWhorter. The PAT missed, leaving the Shermans with a 7-6 lead.

The Tanks made it 13-6 when Isaac Little found Caleb Smith on a 16 yard TD pass at 3:47 of the second quarter, capping a 62 yard/9 play drive. The PAT kick was no good, as that remained the score at halftime. Unioto's defense held the high-powered Panthers offense to less than 100 total yards in the first half.

The Shermans took advantage of a Southeastern fumble, scoring on the ensuing 28 yard/5 play drive to extend their lead to 21-6 at 9:17 of the third period when Jamarcus Carroll dashed into the end-zone from three yards out. The two-point conversion was run in by Isaac Little.

17 seconds later, Lane Ruby cut it to a one score game as he ran 52 yards for a TD to make it 21-14 after Ruby also scored on a two-point conversion.

Into the fourth quarter, two of Unioto's next three possessions would end with fumbles, to enable the Panthers to score at 9:29 remaining n a Ruby 10 yard run- capping a 48 yard/8 play drive. The two-point try failed, leaving Unioto with a 21-20 lead. That was followed by the winning scoring drive, where Southeastern went 71 yards in 4 plays, finished off by a 59 yard TD run from Lane Ruby and McWhorter 2 point PAT for the 28-21 final margin.

Southeastern had 301 total yards with 277 on the ground and 4/5 passing for 24 in the air. Unioto had 265 total yards, with 161 rushing and 6/11 passing for 104 yads.

Unioto committed 2 turnovers and had a field goal blocked. Southeastern had one turnover. Unioto had 7 penalties for 65 yards and SE 9 for 60 yards.

Lane Ruby ran for 210 yards on 24 carries, scoring three TD's and throwing for another. Isaac Little ran 18 times for 88 yards and three one TD, while Jamarcus Carroll rushed 19 times for 73 yards and 2 TD's.
