Two Vehicle Injury Crash in Ross County

The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two car injury crash that occurred on State Route 104 at Stone Road in Ross County on November 25th at approximately 11:24 a.m.

A 2018 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Daniel Hines, 29, of Chillicothe Ohio, was traveling South on SR-104. A 1992 Ford F-150, driven by Jacob Shaeffer, 22, of Chillicothe, Ohio, was turning north on SR-104 from Stone Road, when it failed to yield the right of way. The 2018 Hyundai struck the 1992 Ford, making both vehicles travel off the east side of the roadway. The 2018 Hyundai was also occupied by Gracie Hines, 30, of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Hines were transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center by Union Township EMS. Mrs. Hines was, then transported via ground to Grand Medical Center in Columbus with non-life threatening injuries. Mr. Schaeffer was transported to Adena Medical Center by his father.

The Ohio State Patrol was assisted on the scene by Union Township Fire/EMS.

The crash remains under investigation.
