Following this year's Grammy Awards, Beyoncé made Taylor Swift's friday the "best" ever by sending her a sweet congratulations on her Album of the Year win, and becoming the first female artist to win the award three times.
Swift won Album of the Year for her album folklore, and on Instagram, the star shared a few photos of a gorgeous flower arrangement sent by Queen Bey — who also made history at the Grammys when she broke the record for most Grammys won for any woman or singer with 28 awards. Taylor also shared a sweet handwritten note from Beyoncé which read:
"Congratulations on your Grammy. It was great seeing you on Sunday night. Thank you for always being so supportive. Sending love to you and your family."
Taylor wrote along with the post to her Instagram stories, "Woke up to flowers from the queen of grace & greatness @beyonce and suddenly it's the best Friday EVER." She added, congratulating Bey back, "Thank you B and congratulations on your epic achievement Sunday night!"
After winning Album of the Year, Swift thanked several of her folklore collaborators, including The National's Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, Laura Sisk and Jonathan Low, but also gave a sweet shoutout to her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. She said, "Joe is the first person that I play every single song that I write, and I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine." She added of the album, "You guys met us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can't tell you how honored we are forever. Thank you so much and thank you to the Recording Academy. We will never forget you did this for us. Thank you so much."
Receiving nine nominations, Beyoncé took home several Grammys during this year's show, including Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl," which her daughter Blue Ivy also took home an award for, as well as Best Rap performance and Best Rap Song for her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on her "Savage" remix.
