Frankfort Man Indicted for Possession of Weapons Under Disability

A Frankfort man has been indicted by the Ross County Grand Jury in connection to a domestic dispute from this past June.

Jason R. Pine, 43, of Frankfort has been indicted on a single third-degree felony charge of having weapons while under disability.

The alleged offense took place on June 6th of this year when Ross County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to home on Ragged Ridge Road in reference to a domestic dispute.

The Deputies spoke with the victim who informed them of the details regarding the assault, and informed them that the suspect, Mr. Pine, was armed with a gun and was hiding underneath the home.

After Deputies briefly negotiated with Pine, he is reported to have exited from underneath the home. Deputies then located a loaded Anderson multi-caliber rifle hidden under a tarp beneath the residence.

Pine was found to be under weapons disability due to a felony possession of heroin conviction in Pickaway County from June of 2016.

In total the Ross County Grand Jury was presented with 10 cases during its Friday session. All 10 were returned as true bills, but only this one case was open to the public.
