Couple Arrested for Firing a Gun in Chillicothe Thursday Night

A couple was arrested for firing a gun in Chillicothe last night.

The Chillicothe Police Department reports that around 11pm, officers were dispatched to the area of 626 Glencroft Avenue, off South Watt Street, in reference to the sound of gun shots. They found the residence there had minor damage from a shooting.

The officers located 38-year-old Joshua Thomas and 25-year-old Autalee Corcoran in the vicinity, who matched descriptions given by witnesses. No weapon was located on them, but Joshua had a bleeding injury to his hand.

A police dog located a loaded and chambered Axon 9mm semi-automatic handgun with blood on it under a couch cushion in an alley. Fresh footprints around it appeared to match the pair's shoes.

Joshua Thomas was charged with discharging a firearm into a habitation and having weapons while under disability, and Autalee Corcoran was charged with complicity. Both were jailed.
