Chillicothe is celebrating Ohio Statehood Day this Saturday.
The Chillicothe Kiwanis Club and Ross County Ministerial Association kick off the event at 8:30 with their annual Statehood Day Breakfast, at a new and larger location, the First Presbyterian Church. Tickets at the Convention & Visitors Bureau are almost sold out.
Chillicothe Transit is also offering a trolley bus shuttle from 10 to 4 among the five Chillicothe historical centers that are hosting free open houses. Kevin Coleman will offer historical narration on the trolley until noon.
