A group of residents at Arcadia Senior Living in Kentucky revealed that Rihanna sent them a bouquet of flowers in response to their viral TikTok recreating her iconic Super Bowl Halftime show in February. "The moment we've hoped for, Rihanna has delivered!" the facility's Facebook page posted. They also shared photos of the beautiful bouquet of white roses Rihanna and her record label Roc Nation sent along with a note. "You Ladies Dance Was Amazing Love Roc Nation Rihanna," the note read.
The residents' TikTok, which was part of a trend where users recreated the dance routine from her performance, garnered over 30 million views on the social media app. The group of women dressed in white moved in formation before one resident dressed in red like Rihanna, turned around to dance with a mic in hand.
Fans will get to see Rihanna hit the stage again when she performs at the upcoming Academy Awards. On Thursday, February 23rd, the Academy Awards confirmed that the singer will hit the stage with a performance of her song "Lift Me Up" from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.The song, which marked her return to music, is up for Best Original Song at the awards ceremony. Rihanna is up against fellow pop star Lady Gaga ("Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick), Sofia Carson ("Applause" from Tell It Like a Woman), Golden Globe winners Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava ("Naatu Naatu" from RRR), and Ryan Lott, David Byrne, and Mitski ("This Is a Life" from Everything Everywhere All at Once).
