Does Sabrina Carpenter have a new special someone in her life?
In a new cover story for Rolling Stone, the 26-year-old "Manchild" singer played coy when asked whether she is dating someone new or if she is living the single life at the moment, making a rare comment about her relationship status months after her split from Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan, per Page Six.
"Am I doing the single thing right now? I'm doing the 25-year-old thing right now, whatever that means," she said.
Carpenter and Keoghan reportedly dated for about a year, with reports that their relationship was "on and off," before the pair split in December 2024. While a source claimed at the time that the stars were focusing more on their respective careers, rumors circulated that the Irish actor had cheated on Carpenter with influencer Breckie Hill, which she denied.
The "Espresso" hitmaker explained to Rolling Stone how public opinion and the fiery speculation about her personal relationships feels like living under a "microscope."
"You're like, 'That didn't happen then. That did happen then. You're missing a few key details there,'" she said, adding, "People underestimate how tricky it is to navigate being a young woman, having relationships, and then having a bunch of strangers have opinions on them."
She continued, "I know it's a tale as old as time. It's just unfortunate that it's still a tale."
