Lady Panthers Conclude Season with 3-1 Regional Final Loss to Tusky Valley


Tuscarawas Valley defended their Division 3 Regional Volleyball championship with a 25-22, 25-11, 22-25, 28-26 win over Southeastern Saturday at Logan High School.


The Panthers battled back-and-forth most of the match, except for their lopsided loss in Set 2.


A critical moment in the match came in Set 4, with the Panthers up 18-17. The Trojans went on a 3-0 run to take a lead of 20-18 and later built that to 23-19. But, Southeastern kept fighting, rallying to tie the Set at 23-23 then fought-off three match points before the Trojans won it 28-26.



Sage Peters led the Trojans with 24 kills, Taylor West had 16 and Arora Levengood added 10. Kaya Russell and Levengood led the defense with 20 digs each.


Southeastern was led by Skylar Hice's 16 kills while senior Jessica Bolte added 12. Lexie Lockwood had 23 digs for the Panthers, Hice with 20 and senior Sierra Delong had 11.


Southeastern ends their season at (24-4), SVC co-champs and regional runner-up for a second straight season.
