Jill is freaking out! Tom Hooper is directing a film based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical, CATS. Not only that... but it looks like the movie will star Taylor Swift, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson and Ian McKellen!
Corden just recently performed CATS on The Late Late Show, during one of his funny skits, Crosswalk The Musical. This will not be his first musical movie either. Corden starred in the 2014 movie version of Into The Woods.
Swift has two pretty famous cats herself, Olivia and Meredith. Not to mention she obviously can sing and has proven she can dance. We think she is perfect to cast!
And of course Hudson will be AMAZING!
The musical, which is the 4th longest running show in Broadway history, features some of the best known songs from the stage, including "Memory."
Production on CATS the movie is set to take place later this year in the U.K.
