An Asteroid As Large As The Empire State Building Is Expected To Pass Earth

NASA is currently monitoring an asteroid that's expected to zoom pass Earth on Saturday, June 6th and it may be as large as the Empire State Building. According to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Asteroid 2002 NN4 is expected to be around 250-570 meters (820-1,870 feet) in diameter. To put this in perspective, New York's Empire State Building is more than 1,400 feet tall at its tip. While this may sound scary, NASA says the asteroid will pass Earth at a safe distance. You can find information about the asteroid on NASA's Center for Earth Object Studies(CNEOS) website. This website monitors objects that approach close to Earth.
