Jill's Surprise 'Good Luck' Parade For Onnie Has Gone Viral!

We could all use some good news in our lives especially after all we've experienced in 2020 so far. The story of Grace Burns will be sure to tug on your heart strings so grab your tissues now. While Grace Burns may be her name, Valentine in the Morning's Jill, her family and all of their friends call her “Onnie.”

Onnie is 92-years-old and due to Covid, hasn't seen ANYONE outside of her immediate family since March. Jill, her parents and sisters have all tested negative and have been extremely careful so they can still visit her, bring her groceries etc. Onnie had been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Her aortic valve was only opening to the size of a pencil eraser when normally it should be the size of a quarter.

Onnie's family took matters into their own hands by surprising her with a "good luck parade" this past Saturday - to wish her luck on a heart procedure she was having in a few days. The day of the parade happened to be Jill's mom's birthday so they told Onnie to go outside for a family picture. However, to Onnie's surprise all of her family and closest friends drove by her Northridge home with "Good Luck" signs, balloons, and of course honking their horns to wish her well. Jill posted the video on social media and it instantly went viral!

Monday morning, she had a successful TAVR procedure at Cedars Sinai with Dr. Raj R. Makkar. She is now resting comfortably at home and can’t believe all the attention she’s getting.
